OPALFILM® Anti-Shatter Films

Provide for concealed protection: The OPALFILM® anti shatter films stabilize glass surfaces and facades and protect against flying splinters in case of breakage. The polyester films, which are between 115µ and 190µ thick, provide the glass with the properties of compound safety glazing. They are tested and classified to DIN EN 12600 by the Materials Testing Office (MPA) of the State of NRW, Germany.

They therefore minimize the risk of injury and avoid property damage. The films are transparent, scratch-insensitive and reduce UV radiation by up to 99%.

According to glass type and/or technical conditions locally, splinter protection films are employed either inside or outside.

On request, these films are provided with supplementary functions, such as solar and/or view protection.
