PROFILON® AX A1 is a 3-layer, throw-through prevention security film for the protection of glass surfaces against (smash and grab) burglaries, vandalism and arson attacks. In addition, it possesses explosive-bursting-effect prevention properties. PROFILON® AX A1 is a low-inflammability material in accordance with DIN 4102-1 Class B1.

Glass surfaces, such as windows or shop window surfaces are amongst the most sensitive areas of a building. Burglaries, attacks with thrown object impacts or arson and vandalism are often carried out on these most sensitive parts of the building. PROFILON® AX A1 has been developed in order to increase the resistance offered to the assailant by glass surfaces in case of such physical attacks. The multi-ply structure of PROFILON® AX A1 absorbs the impact energy produced by such things as a thrown stone or the throwing of incendiary devices. The extremely adhesive quality guarantees a very high level of splinter binding. In this way the laminated, cracked glass remains within the frame and the danger of flying glass splinters is also minimized.

PROFILON® AX A1 can be retrofitted on all glass with an even surface, irrespective of whether it is float glass, ESG, VSG or TVG. In addition, an integrated UV filter protects the interior compartment against UV radiation. This also prevents yellowing and fading of upholstered furniture or clothing.
