PROFILON® SD is an optically clear, Radio Frequency (RF), Infrared (IR) and Ultraviolet (UV) attenuating security and safety window film. Deploying PROFILON® SD shielding technology on the glass provides: privacy, voice and data eavesdropping protection. If required it can be combined with impact and bomb blast resistant properties.

As wireless devices make data access and exchange more convenient, the potential for hackers to steal wireless signals with simple eavesdropping devices is greater than ever.

Deploying PROFILON® SD shielding technology on the glass provides: privacy, voice and data eavesdropping protection, additional security for wireless 802.11 networks and devices, RF sheltering to mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI), IR blocking for mitigating laser microphone threats, protection for humans from damaging electromagnetic emissions exposure and very high solar energy rejection with UV blocking.

IR blocking mitigates the risk of voice conversations being recorded through windows using laser microphones. Laser microphones, operating in the infrared (IR) portion of the spectrum can be used to “listen” to conversations from hundreds of meters away from the targeted facilities.

PROFILON® SD offers the world’s highest blocking level of RF, IR, UV and solar energy as an optically clear substrate. SD Technology is the leader in the industry and has become the de facto standard for U.S. and other foreign government organizations. SD technology is also valuable for protection from electromagnetic interference (EMI).

Profilon®SD

■ full spectrum protection for RF and IR
■ mitigates RF and IR eavesdropping threats via the windows
■ protection for electromagnetic interference (EMI)
■ UV-protection to avoid fading
■ combines RF/IR security protection with safety film/bomb blast protection

Profilon®SD can be retrofitted to all plane glass areas. Even a combination of Profilon®SD with polycarbonate is possible without any problems.
