STABAGARD® is an explosive-bursting-effect prevention safety curtain for the attenuation of explosion energy. The sharp and pointed glass splinters caused by blast waves are largely absorbed and minimize the danger of injury. Other flying objects caused by the explosion encounter resistance and are kept from penetrating further into the room.

The STABAGARD® Safety curtain can be installed in front of every window. It consists of specially developed metal spirals which, with the incidence of the pressure wave, move apart from each other. In this way, the explosion energy is reduced. Glass splinters are largely extracted from the pressure wave, stones or incendiary materials are caught and kept from penetrating further into the room. The STABAGARD® Safety curtain has the following properties:

As a retro-fitted security product, STABAGARD® adapts to the room ambience harmoniously and without attracting attention. In case of weak and old window frames, STABAGARD® is the ideal supplementary product for PROFILON® security films, which especially protect the window panes. Tests at the Fraunhof Institute for Short-Term Dynamics, the Ernst-Mach Institute and at the Stuttgart LKA confirm the explosive-bursting-effect prevention effect of STABAGARD® and thus the impressive danger reduction.
