Protection against smash and grab
It only takes a few seconds to smash the toughened security glass of a car window and commit a smash and grab theft. Vehicle windows coated with PROFILON® AM A1 offer increased protection against such incidents. The shattered glass pane is held in the frame by the security film, and glass splinters are prevented from becoming airborne. This, together with the domed shape of the window, makes it far more difficult to gain access to the interior of a vehicle, especially without attracting attention.
If there is anyone inside the vehicle at the time of the attack, the enhanced resistance will give them more time to move to a safe place. The film is thus effective in guarding against car-napping.
