The company

Senvion is one of the world's leading manufacturers of onshore and offshore wind turbines, headquartered in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg. The company was founded in 2001 and develops and sells turbines in the multi-megawatt range - a total of more than 4,600 turbines have already been installed worldwide.

The current requirement

The company headquarters in northern Germany is an architecturally high-quality building, which impresses with its large glass fronts over several floors. Due to some organizational changes, new premises were occupied internally. The employees had a good view, but many could see into the departments from the outside, which is especially critical for the HR department, which handles confidential data. It had to be made more difficult to see into this department and onto the monitors from the outside. A solution had to be found to ensure privacy.

The solution

A retrofittable solution was promised by the application of two HAVERKAMP films with a wide variety of properties. In order to ensure the highest possible light transmission and at the same time prevent viewing from the outside for a defined distance, Senvion opted for a special solution: The "Hexagon white" decorative and ornamental film was applied on the inside. The dot structure of this film makes it difficult to see in from the outside, yet it integrates beautifully into the open overall appearance of the company building. In addition, the HAVERKAMP decorative film white matt Classic was used as a full-surface privacy screen in some areas. Both films are seen as glass enhancements that give the glass a special look and structure - they provide stylish and effective privacy protection. To provide additional appropriate solar protection, HAVERKAMP tints for residential windows silver 35R sr Primus was installed in the exterior of other office areas. This aluminum-coated film repels 69% of the sun's energy, making it ideal for properties that have a high percentage of glass.
