HAVERKAMP PROFILON® Blast protection film
Bomb blast window film made in Germany
The blast waves resulting from explosions are in most cases life-threatening.
Explosive attacks pose a great risk of injury and threat to people, especially when objects fly around due to the strong blast wave. Glass can become a lethal weapon in this case.
HAVERKAMP PROFILON® ER1 retroactively imparts bomb blast-resistant properties to single and insulating glass.

Field report Government Quarter Oslo
The PROFILON® ER1 security film has a highly resistant, puncture-resistant, blast-resistant effect and reliably binds splinters. The effectiveness of the film is proven by numerous field reports, such as the bomb attack in Oslo's government quarter in 2011, the effects of which were immensely limited by the processed high-performance film PROFILON® ER1.

INFO ON HAVERKAMP PROFILON® ER1 BLAST PROTECTION FILM
In addition to public buildings in high-risk areas, the explosion-resistant safety film is also used in production halls with a permanently increased risk of explosion due to work with explosive substances. Even if no explicit explosion protection of the glazing is imposed by insurance companies for your industrial plant, additional protection of the glass panes should still be considered with regard to occupational safety and the well-being of the employees.
An area is classified as explosive if a potentially explosive atmosphere forms there. This arises from the composition of mixtures of vapors, mists, dusts, air gases and/or flammable substances. If the explosive atmosphere comes into contact with a source of ignition, oxidation can be triggered, which can lead to ignition.
If an explosive atmosphere develops, appropriate measures must be taken to protect against explosion hazards as a result of the risk assessment. Part of these measures is to limit the effects of possible detonations, which includes blast-resistant glazing. Particularly endangered areas in industry include, for example, the oil and gas industry, mechanical engineering, chemical plants, the food industry or the pharmaceutical industry, which must provide explosion protection in accordance with the ATEX directives.
In addition to hazardous areas in industry, risky areas also include public facilities and government buildings. HAVERKAMP PROFILON® ER1 also protects against bomb attacks in public spaces - in 2011, the safety film saved lives and prevented serious injuries in the Oslo bombing.
No, due to a technology specially developed by HAVERKAMP, the safety film is almost transparent.
HAVERKAMP security films are mounted on the pane from the inside. A professional edge bond ensures a stable connection to the frame. Since this is a retrofit solution, the glass does not have to be removed. To ensure correct protection, the films are applied exclusively by trained and certified HAVERKAMP installers.
It is possible to dismantle the PROFILON® films without leaving any residues, but this should be done in accordance with the dismantling instructions. The window can be returned to its original state at any time.
PROFILON® ER1 is a highly flexible, 4-layer blast-resistant and puncture-resistant safety film. Unprotected single and insulating glass achieves the shatter-resistant effect of laminated safety glass when coated with PROFILON® ER1.
