HAVERKAMP sun protection film: test winner at Stiftung Warentest 2021
Film reduces room temperature by 22 degrees
Just in time for the start of summer, Stiftung Warentest took a close look at 11 sun protection films in two categories with different levels of heat reduction. The test quality verdict: the HAVERKAMP Silver 20R sr Primus Plus sun protection film is the test winner with a score of 2.2.
In the June 2021 issue of "Test" magazine, various solar control films were tested for heat protection and light transmission. Using the example of an attic apartment, the test calculated how the temperature and heating costs change with reflective solar control films. Stiftung Warentest used a 20 square meter room with a four square meter skylight. In midsummer, the room heats up to 56 degrees Celsius without the use of a film. The temperature difference when using a film is enormous, at 22 degrees Celsius.
"If you want to reduce the room temperature and energy costs in hot summer months, there is no way around a suitable solar control film. The test-winning film* has only winners: customers and the environment benefit from a better climate. We feel confirmed by the test result that we have another top product in our wide range with the tested film," says HAVERKAMP Managing Director Ulrich Haverkamp.
